This Privacy Policy describes how PrepTen ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Venkata Krishna and available at prepten.answerbox.in (the "Service"), handles information when you use our AI-powered mock interview practice tool. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

PrepTen has no login and no user accounts. We do not build profiles on you, and we do not sell your data. Most of what powers the app stays in your own browser. Below is the full detail.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Interview inputs: the subject or role you choose and the answers you type or speak during a practice interview. This text is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate questions and feedback.
- Messages you send us: if you email us or use the contact form, we receive your email address and message.
Information stored on your device
- Local storage: we save your interview settings, free-trial status, recently asked questions (to avoid repeats), and payment status in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs from our hosting and infrastructure providers may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability.
3. Microphone and voice input
Voice input is optional. If you use the microphone, your speech is converted to text by your browser's built-in speech recognition (in browsers such as Chrome, this may process audio through Google's speech services). We do not record or store audio files. You can use the Service entirely by typing instead.
4. Payments
Paid interviews are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment provider. Payment details such as card or UPI information are entered on Razorpay's secure systems — we never see or store your full payment details. Razorpay's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

- To generate your interview questions, evaluate answers, and produce your feedback report.
- To process payments and grant access to paid sessions.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To keep the Service secure and working reliably.
6. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service. Your use of the Service may involve data being processed by:

7. Advertising and cookies
The PrepTen app itself uses browser local storage rather than its own tracking cookies. However, third-party services may set cookies, and we may display advertising through Google AdSense. When ads are served:

- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the Service, or where required by law.

Because we do not maintain accounts, we do not retain your interview content after your session. Data stored in your browser's local storage remains until you clear it. Payment records are retained by Razorpay as required for financial and legal compliance.
10. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Your choices
- Use the Service without voice input by typing your answers.
- Clear local storage at any time through your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads using the links in Section 7.
